Balco Landscapes LLC built a deck for us that we absolutely love. It was a challenging task due to an existing patio that needed to be dug up for footers. The crew was polite and respectful to our property. They worked hard, put everything back together nicely and completed the project in a timely manner. We have already scheduled a few more projects with Balco for this coming year.

Garrett worked through the permitting offices (city/county/HOA), to transfer my backyard from barebones to my backyard oasis.
Garrett coordinated and performed the following: installed a fiberglass pool and pool cover, pavilion, grading, coping and pavers, steps, landscaping and lights, shed, metal fence, and then closed the pool.

Balco Landscapes has completed numerous difficult projects for us including refurbishing our pond and rock water fall, grading our sloping rear yard with natural stone retaining walls and installing our inground pool, patio, walkways and plantings. We look forward to having them back to fully refurbish the front of our home with new walkways and gardens.

I hired Balco Landscaping some years ago… so this review is long overdue!! I have a small home in Baltimore City, but with a surprisingly large outdoor yard and space that just wasn’t being utilized the best it could. After a few queries, Harry and Garrett got in touch with me and they have been my landscape contractors ever since. I’ve had them out now 3 or 4 times over the course of the years and they’ve turned my outdoor areas into something that all my neighbors (and even strangers in the neighborhood) compliment me on. Balco took a completely under-utilized space and transformed it into an incredibly manicured, beautiful and efficient outdoor space.
I’m sure I’m going to forget a few things, but Balco has:
1) Planned, graded and installed two flagstone patios in the backyard.
2) Installed stacked stone retaining walls for side garden bed.
3) Planned and planted afore-mentioned side garden bed.
4) Planted dogwood tree.
5) Built cinderblock wall at backyard border.
6) Graded and graveled South Side yard w/ walkway stones.
7) Planned, graded, pulled permits, and installed paver-base driveway, cinderblock driveway wall (and installed faux stone tiles on facade) and gate.
8) New plantings, trimmed backyard vineyard and Japaneses maple.
9) Several other things.
Again, all of this work took place over the course of 3-4 years and it all still looks amazing to this day. Bottom line, Balco is a great crew, attentive to detail and always very professional and timely in their installations. As well, Harry and Garret are great guys… you feel like you’re working with friends rather than contractors.
